The True Dragons (Highest tier Divine Monster Spirit) are considered the strongest beings in the world, being equal or superior to a True Demon Lord and the True Hero.
They are beings "perfect as one" , especially durable, spiritual life forms, so they have no attachment to their physical bodies, they only take those forms to respond to the desires of religions or similar (or also for convenience).
Birth
True Dragons are immortal and unblemished beings made of pure energy and formed by sentient beings’ prayers. They are basically god-like beings that represent and embody some aspect of nature.
After a True Dragon is born for the first time, it can never be killed. Even if the individual itself is killed, another True Dragon of the same natural characteristic will be born anew somewhere else. That new True Dragon will not have the memories of the previous but simply understand its nature of existence right after birth.
There have been only two exceptions throughout the story:

- One is when Velgaia ingested and fused with the Zero's core. This suggest even if a True Dragon cannot be killed, its natural characteristic/essence can be transformed into other forms.
- Another is when the World itself feels it necessary to remove the existence of a True Dragon. Naturally, this isn't simply limited to True Dragons but to any being that violates fundamental rules of the World's System.

Originals
The greatest of the True Dragons and the strongest among them. He is also the God that created in the world in which they live. He also is the husband of Lucia and father of the Demon Lord Milim Nava.
"White Ice Dragon" Velzado
Partner of Guy Crimson, Velzado is known to be second in birth as well as in power from Veldanava. She is prideful and haughty. She was incredibly jealous when Veldanava respected Guy and gave him important roles instead of paying attention to her.
"Scorch Dragon" Velgrynd
Partner of Rudra Nam Ul Nasca, Velgrynd is the fastest Dragon in existence. Her very essence is that of 'acceleration' and 'high momentum'. Although slightly hot-headed, she is very compassionate, especially to her allies and family.
"Storm Dragon" Veldora Tempest
The (second) youngest of the four True Dragons originals. He is connected with Rimuru by an agreement and was known to frequently rampage here and there.

"Earth Dragon" Velgaia
The youngest of the official True Dragon. Born when Milim's Pet dragon Gaia combined with the core of "Berserk Evil Dragon" Zero and given alias 5th True Dragon "Earth Dragon" by Rimuru.
"Berserk Evil Dragon" Zero
An Ultimate Skill that evolved into a True Dragon. Once Azi Dahaka evolves to this stage, it follows all the rules of a True Dragon set by the World's System. It solely exists to cause destruction and is considered to the 6th True Dragon.
Comparable Existences
A Dragonoid she is one of the oldest and strongest Demon Lords. She is the daughter of Veldanava and Lucia and it is who inherited the greater part of the power of the soul of its father.
Rimuru Tempest
He is the founder and King of the monster country Tempest of the Great Jura Forest and is regarded as one of the strongest Demon Lords among the Mighty Eight Star Demon Lords as well as the only known Great Demon Lord
He became a True Dragon after eating and analyzing the magical power of Veldora in his fight against Velgrynd. He is also a partner and best friend of True Dragon Veldora Tempest.
Trivia
- In the Light Novel, Milim Nava is considered as a True Dragon and The Youngest of 4 Dragon Kind beside Velzard, Velgrind and Veldora. while in Web novel she doesn't since Rimuru is the 5th True Dragon instead the 6th True Dragon.
